                                                  • If a candidate fails the Nippon-Kendo-Kata or the written exam after having passed the Jitsugi portion, the candidate may register to retake that failed portion at subsequent VKF examinations. However, the candidate may retake it only once, within one year of the previous examination, at an examination organized by the VKF.
